It's in the Story that the person comes Alive.. God is in Your Story!












 It's Story Time! Gather around because this is going to be Good! Day 4 of our time here in Greece has been full of adventure, coffee, food, ice cream, and Stories!! Sharing your story in any capacity has the ability to captivate the heart and transform your life all at the same time. It's in our stories that we are able to witness the power of God. Sharing our life experiences alongside our triumphs has been such a breathtaking overall experience. The past two days in class have birthed a new perspective of one another and have also given us context. Dr. Lawson reminded us on day 1 of class to learn how to "dance with our thorns". This set the tone along with  Dr. Jones, allowing us to create a "Brave space". The Brave space gives us room to share our story, even though what we chose to share could have been scary, uncomfortable, or all of the above. This overall experience of sharing allowed for us to connect with each other on a deeper level while identifying the most important part of it all, that we are worthy of LOVE, no matter where we are on our journey, we celebrate every moment, and find JOY!! Let's dance with our thorns! 

Did I mention the SCAVENGER HUNT?? This Hunt gave us a moment to get outside of the classroom and into the bustling streets of Greece. Hunting for the local barber or coffee shop has been another major highlight moment for this trip because we didn't do it alone. This exercise allowed us to come together as a group outside of our normal environment and work together. This was a blast!





Let's not forget the menu for the last two days, too!!! I mean, talk about trying new things, new textures, and yummy flavors! 4 Days in Greece has been one for the books, and we are just getting started. As I continue to reflect, I will hold on to this: God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change. The courage to change the one I can and the wisdom to know that one is me!

    YESSSS, the only 2 days in a classroom too lol. this trip only just started and as you stated its sooo GOOOD, AMAZING, God ordained!!!!

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the Southeastern University Professional Counseling Greece Trip 2025!!  Each year, we take a group of Master's students to Greece for about 3 weeks to have an immersive experience in a new and different culture while they take a multicultural counseling class.  There is something so powerful about being the "other" in a culture while simultaneously learning how to sit with clients that might feel "other" than us.
