Long To Do Lists and Mixed Emotions

As we're starting to feel all the things that come with going home soon, we started our day in a more relaxed mood. People are napping, packing, hanging laundry on the line, and running to the store to grab last minute gifts to bring back home. There's a bittersweet mood in the air. For me, a feeling of eagerness to be back in my own bed and see my family again. But there's also the realization that I won't get to see the friends that I have made until October, since I live in Louisiana. Regardless of my extensive to do list, and my mixed emotions, I'm excited for dinner tonight. We board the bus at 4, and we're off.

As with anywhere that we've gone while in Greece, the views are amazing. The same can be said with the restaurant that we ate at. We get there, and I quickly realize that this restaurant is quite literally on the beach, with beautiful mountains in the background. The food did not disappoint either, I think it's actually impossible for any meal to disappoint in Greece though. The many different items were brought out, and I found myself getting excited over and over again as I saw the waiter bring something different out time and time again. We ate a delicious meal, and then of course had to take pictures on the beach after we ate. The views were stunning, so we wanted to make sure we got some good pictures before we left to go watch the sunset.

After dinner, it was time to head up to the Temple to Poseidon to watch the sunset. Before walking all the way up there, we stopped to get snacks and rest before walking up there. Some got ice cream, as we talked about how amazing the trip has been and how lucky we are to have gotten this opportunity. While there were a couple of bumps in the road and things didn't always go as planned, I think that it's easy to say that God's hand was on all of us throughout this trip. We ended the night watching the beautiful sunset at the top, once again just showing us how amazing our Creator is.
