Let’s Get This Show On The Road!!!
This isn’t my first time out of the country but it is my first time out of the country without a family member with me, making things very exciting and very nerve racking at the same time.
We get to the airport wait anxiously for our checked bags. “As long as one person gets their bag we know the rest of us will too.” Someone says and we all laugh. It feels good to laugh even with all the nerves I have surrounding being in a new country.
That’s one thing I love about my traveling companions, they know how to make everything ok. Even a six hour layover flew by with their company. But I’m getting distracted. Back to today.
We finally all got our baggage and headed for our bus. And you better keep it moving or you’re gonna get run over by people with places to be.
We had some more time to rest and chat and enjoy the beautiful weather before dinner.
Dinner was absolutely amazing! Our first genuine Greek food experience didn't come without some hick-ups though.
You see we lost power, and not just us but the whole town we're staying in. It would come back for a few minutes and then go out again, but thankfully we were still able to enjoy our amazing meal. There was salads and pita bread with dips and chicken kabobs! Everything was so delicious and fresh!
And now it's finally time to get some well deserved rest. Can't wait to tackle tomorrow!
