Day 19: Toga Party
Day 19 TOGA Party
What an incredible group of like-minded people brought together for such a time as this. I love how such different people can hold the same heart together, the heart to hold space for someone's fear, the heart to hold space for someone's anxiety, and the heart to hold space for someone's depression. Thank you, Tiffany Jones, for sharing how to hold space for the times when a person brings out our anger, brings out our anxiety, brings out our fear, or triggers our depression as we learn to walk beside someone without judgment, helping them in their journey as well as developing our character.
Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
Thank you, Dr. Lawson, for sharing your morning run with me and anyone willing to get up early. Rediscovering that the morning is my time to lie down in green pastures and recharge for the day.
1 Corinthians 15:30 And why should we risk our lives hour by hour? For I swear, dear brothers and sisters, that I face death daily. This is as certain as my pride in what Christ Jesus our Lord has done in you. And what value was there in fighting wild beasts--those people of Ephesus--if there will be no resurrection from the dead? And if there is no resurrection, "Let's feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!"
Now as we celebrate our time together and celebrate our developed character for the things, we have been through on this trip and in life to develop ourselves. Take time to pause, be still, and know God is in ultimate control.
Jesus asked, "Who is my mother? Who are my Brothers?" Then he pointed to his disciples and said, "Look, these are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!"
We are a family doing the will of our Father, who is in heaven. I love ya'll very much and thank you for holding space for me.
